THE MISSION OF STUDIO LEGALE CARDILLO E ASSOCIATI 1. The “mission” of Studio Legale Cardillo e Associati is to give clear information, prompt assistance and competent counsel in a frank and precise way: (a) to Italian companies wishing to develop their International activities, particularly through the grant and/or acquisition of licensing rights on new products and technologies, of distribution rights, of agency agreements, or wishing to start up abroad a subsidiary, a joint-venture, a new plant, etc. and (b) to foreign companies wishing to develop their activities in Italy by promoting the production and/or sale of their new products and technologies, through commercial or industrial agreements, or wishing to start a commercial relationships or co-operation, or create a subsidairy, a joint-venture, etc. 2.- In more detail, the main mission of our law firm is that of helping, counselling and supporting: (a) Italian companies, particularly SME, wishing to license their industrial property or sell their products abroad, so assuring them a safer development and a better exploitation of their potentialities and innovations, and (b) Foreign companies wishing to start or continue their activities in Italy by locating up a new plant, or a subsidiary or a joint venture, etc. To this end, Studio Legale Cardillo e Associati undertakes every possible effort to counsel and to work with great accuracy, speed and spirit of co-operation to the benefit of the client. Our professional activity is often performed while accompanying the clients’ managers in trips around Italy or abroad to attend meetings and take part to the clients’ negotiations since the early stage. 3. Studio Legale Cardillo e Associati puts at the clients’ disposal its knowledge and experience for the best exploitation of their industrial property and gives a solid, actual, energetic and well organized support, to warrant the best success of any business negotiations concerning: (a) industrial property rights, and particularly trademarks, patents, utility models and designs, know how and trade secrets (b) International agreements (agency, distribution, secrecy, research co-operation, joint-ventures, sale of goods, supply of plants, etc.) (c) assignment and licence agreements of patents, trademarks, utility models and designs, know how licenses, etc. (d) International licensing (e) joint venture agreements and establishing affiliates and subsidiaries abroad and in Italy. 4. Our law firm is active also in field of commercial and company laws. It counsels and assists Italian and foreign clients in litigations concerning contractual non-fulfilment and relevant damages, and in credit recovery through personal and/or bankruptcy proceedings as well as in infringement litigations of patents, trademarks, utility models and designs and unlawful competition litigations. However, this does not mean that if a litigation is useful or necessary, we leave the client alone or pass the case on to a colleague!
